South Korean electronics giant, Samsung has launched a new Smart View app, which will allow users to watch TV content on their Samsung Galaxy S2.
The user is required to link up their Galaxy S2 to the Samsung Smart TV D7000 and D8000 series. The app will be available only for Galaxy S2 initially and will be available on Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 and Samsung Galaxy S later this year.
The viewers will not have to watch only what is running on the D7000 and D8000 series TV sets but they can watch a completely separate channel. The app sends TV content to a Galaxy S 2 through a Wi-Fi connection from the Smart TV..
Guy Kinnell, Marketing Director for TV, Samsung UK said, "Samsung Smart TV is leading the 'smart revolution' not only with the features of Smart TV itself – such as rich content, 2D and 3D picture quality, smart functions and design – but also with input devices using our Qwerty smart remote control, the Samsung Remote app, and now with Smart View."
This is not the first time that the company has offered TV content on its mobile devise. Last year, Samsung launched the Samsung Remote which allowed users to watch shows wherever they are in the house on their remotes.
